3 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
- That I am treasured by God, and loved deeply.
- Worldly people cannot understand us and God, we should not have an expectation for them about it.
- We have an eternal destiny in God our Father and should be exited and looking forward to meet Him in person.
- If we have this belief and expectation we should keep ourselves pure before God.
- Cut off the things that makes me struggle with purity.
- Like the Bible says if you hand causes you to sin, cut it off. Don’t let the gangrene spread to your whole body. (Mat 5:30)
- If it is TV get Netflix and screen the movies you watch should be at least below 13 PG. I guess if it still makes you struggle and you cannot stay away from impurity then you must give it up until such time you are spiritually stronger. Take up reading books, even spiritual one. (hint hint)
- If it is Facebook, block all groups that is not appropriate and unfollow those that is not spiritually conducive.
- If you have worldly friends that makes you want to go back to the worldly way of doing things I would advise you strongly to avoid them or even not be friends with them until you are strong enough to not struggle. If you have to go take a spiritual brother / sister and or mentor with you. It is very good to hang out with spiritual brothers and sister, Jesus hanged out with them all the time and a bonus you might just learn some great spiritual lessons and get free discipling. (smile)(Mark 2:13-17
Prayer:
- Morning Father.
- Thank you that You lavish your love on us!
- God you chose me out of the world to make a difference in the world.
- Help me to cut off the things in my life that makes me struggle.
- If I have to cut off a friendship it will hurt, like cutting off a limb of my body that has gangrene.
- Amen
