4.10. Change your Mind, receives Forgiveness – New Testament Predictions of the Kingdom – Part 8 of 9

Verse for Today:

He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” – Luk 24:44-49

Have you ever had a enlightened experience that totally changed your mind?

It is like falling in love, the world is never the same after that. When you fall in love you are willing to do anything to make that person happy.

The word repentance come from the greek word “metanoia”, which means changing your mind. Wikipedia states it as: the process of experiencing a psychotic “breakdown” and subsequent, positive psychological re-building or “healing”.

Well repentance is the exact representation of falling in love with God. You cannot see your way forward without cahanging and living for God. Then question is; have you fallen in love with God, that you are willing to change anyting and give up everything?

Clue no. 21 – Repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached first in Jerusalem to all nations.

Prayer for Today:

Lord you are the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. You written your love letter to us in the form of the Bible. Why would we not change from the thinks that kill us spiritually? The only reason is we love the world more than you. Help us to keep our first love for you. Amen.
