Psalm 107-108

Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, because they rebelled against God’s commands and despised the plans of the Most High. So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders.
They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest; he blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased, and he did not let their herds diminish. Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled by oppression, calamity and sorrow;
Let the one who is wise heed these things and ponder the loving deeds of the LORD.” – ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭107:1, 4-13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 28, 32, 37-39, 43‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.

Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.” – Psalm‬ ‭108:1-6, 12-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer for Today

Morning awesome Father. I am truly humbled when I read your Word and liok up to the stars. Waking up in the morning I can hear the birds sing in the bushveld. It is so great to have companionship with people in the gospel who really is our spiritual family.
Thank you Father for calling me to be a disciple through your Word. When I head to be a christian I had to be a disciple (Mat 28:16-20) I was sad that no one told that to me before 26 years ago. Father it seems like a lifetime and is. Help me to grow in my faith and character so that I might be blameless in your sight. That I may live a life worthy of the gospel by which I am saved.
My friend and I had such a great time last night reaching out to people for our Bible discussion. It was his first time doing evangelism. I can still remember the library at Tukkies where I invited my first person to our Bible discussion. It was truly fearful and challenging, but you helped me become a real disciple.
I do pray for those who do not yet know you Father. I pray that we might have the courage to share our faith with them and persevere to help them become your disciples. The scripture does say in Mat 28 to make them your disciples, baptize the disciples and teach the disciples to obey.
Help to be obedient to that scripture every day and that we will have faith. We know that faith comes from hearing the message (Rom 10:17)  help us to have great bible study and pray using the Lord’s prayer as a framework.

Yoh love You Lord. Amen and Amen
