After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward. ” (Genesis 15:1 NIV)
– God does not want us to be afraid, why ? Because He is with us and He is the creator of the universe. If we die we spend eternity with Him. So if I am not to be afraid I should be bold and full of courage, courageous.
– God said to him that he is he’s shield, that means that He will protect him against assaults.
– God is the very great reward. If I have God, that should be enough. A reward is given to someone for achieving something. Having a relationship with God is the greatest achievement we can attain, not worldly wealth.
