I can still remember the anticipation of our daughter being born to us. It is that fear and wonder feeling altogether. We could not have kids so we decided to adopt. That decision came from going for AI’s, not the software one (smile). Invitro and three times we tried adopting through a social worker that did not work. I think women take it harden that men when they don’t get pregnant or cannot have children. God made them to have children, a little person to love and cuddle and test their patience to the maximum.
Let’s look at how God bring spiritual babies into the world, it is pretty much like adopting for Him as well.
Verse for Today:
1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.'” – Jn 3:1-7
The whole theme here is to be born again.
- First you cannot see the kingdom of God if you are not born again. Bummer if you haven’t found the kingdom, because you have to be born again to find and enter it as we discussed in the previous study.
- To enter the kingdom you have to be born again, it is like the keys to enter it.
- It seems like the two keys, water and Spirit happen at the same time.
- This is not for babies, but adults making a descision.

Dear Lord I do want to be reborn, leave my old life of sin and live a live that honors you. What an exciting thought to live a new life with purpose going to heaven!!! Wow, bring it on Lord!!! Amen.
