Verse for Today:
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – Jn 13:34-35
Love makes the world go around. I love listening to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect song. Movies and songs made about love is always blockbusters. Movies always have a love intrigue or circle. You can still remember that first time your saw your first love or the wife you got married to. My wife said the first time she saw me she knew she is going to get married to me. As we can can share our success stories with love there is always the painful reminders of the ones that did not work.
The Bible says God is love, not just loving. It encompass His whole being. But love is a verb, not just a feeling. No wonder God commands us to love one another. But He take it to the next level, He says we must love as Jesus love. How did Jesus love us? He gave up His live to save us so we can spend eternity with Him.
How can we love one another in the church? Be active in partaking in the fellowship. See how you can serve. The question is; are you known for your love? Would someone describe you as a loving person? Disciple’s are known for their love.
Prayer for Today:
God you are a God of love. Help me to immitate you and love like Jesus loves us. Help me to see what my talents are and how I can serve with them. Amen
